Bhori Cutlet

 
I got this recipe with this name as Bhori Cutlet. Bhori as I know is a community and their dishes are well known and popular. When I prepared these cutlets there was something different about the taste...not like the usual shami kababs or any potato cutlets. They have that richness in the taste so it can be labelled as a party dish. Its so convenient when you can prepare these cutlets the day before a lunch party and freeze them. Your one dish is ready...all u have to do is shallow fry them just before serving the lunch.
 
                                                                        
You will need :
 
500 gms mince (mutton or chicken)
3 tbsp fried onion
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp crushed dry red chilli / red chilli powder
1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
1 tbsp soya sauce
Salt to taste
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 potatoes boiled and mashed
2 green chilli finely chopped
1 egg
2 bread slices soaked in milk and squeezed
1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
Oil for frying
1 cup flour for coating
 
Method:
 
  1. Marinate the mince with crushed fried onion, black pepper, crushed red chili, ginger & garlic paste, soya sauce and salt for 10 minutes. Put the marinated mince in a pan and cook on flame. Once the mince is cooked through turn the flame high and cook till all the liquid has drained.
  2. Remove the cooked mince in a large mixing bowl and add onion, potatoes, green chili, egg , bread slices and salt.
  3. Mix well, make small flat cutlets and coat each of them in flour and shallow fry.
Serves 4
