Chicken Paratha
Chicken & Cheese Paratha

Serving size:

For chicken filling

  • 1 cup boiled shredded chicken
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 small tomato chopped (remove seeds)
  • 1/2 carrot grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger & garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

For the dough: (combine all ingredients to make a smooth soft dough)

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required to make the dough.

  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry onion, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, cooked chicken and rest of the ingredients. Cook for 2 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  2. Take chappati dough and roll out two similar size medium chappatis.
  3. Place the filling on one chappati, sprinkle some cheese and place another chapati on top of it.
  4. Again roll out with both chappatis intact so that the filling gets pressed and merged with the dough.
  5. Cook the paratha on a hot pan with oil till golden and crispy on both sides.
  6. Cut into 4 pieces and serve hot with sour cream, mint chutney, raita etc.
