One of the hero for today's recipe is 'Pineapple' who stands tall, wears a  crown and is sweet from inside, and this is what we can learn from a fruit. I had made this smoothie during my trip to Bangalore and I got this beautiful looking fruit in the local farmers market.  There is nothing unusual about this recipe, but the presence of mint makes a lot of difference. It gives that soothing and refreshing taste. As we all know that Pineapple is a tropical fruit with a sweet and sour taste. I always find pinepple to be a versatile fruit, which fits well as a sweet dish or as a savoury dish. It promotes a healthy complexion and hair, increased energy and helps in weight loss. This smoothie can be an excellent source of strong anti-oxidant, as both pineapple and strawberries have a high content of Vitamin-C.

Minty Strawberry & Pineapple Smoothie 


Try this refreshing smoothie recipe with a blend of strawberry and pineapple with a minty twist.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Total time: 15 minutes
1 cup = 250 ml capacity
Serves 4

Ingredients:

1 small size ripe peeled pineapple
5 strawberries
2 tablespoon honey
4 mint leaves
Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Chop pineapple into small pieces and blend all the ingredients until smooth. Serve chilled along with ice cubes or crushed ice.
