Butter Garlic Mushrooms

Butter Garlic Mushrooms are perfect for a low-carb and low-calorie breakfast. This dish is very easy to make and is ready in less than 15 minutes.

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet or Non-stick flat pan

Ingredients

  • 250 grams Mushrooms white button
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon garlic chopped
  • ¼ cup parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash mushrooms under running water and dry them on a kitchen towel. Cut each mushroom into half or into 4 pieces if it is too big in size.
  • Finely chop onion, garlic, and parsley and set aside.

For Butter Garlic Mushrooms

  • Heat a skillet with olive oil on low heat for 1 minute. Add chopped onion and saute for 5 to 7 minutes until the onion turns light pink and brown.
  • Now add chopped white button mushrooms and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes or until the mushrooms are cooked and slightly browned.
  • Then add finely chopped garlic, chopped parsley, red chili flakes, crushed black pepper, and lemon juice. Toss all the spices well with mushrooms for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Finally, add salt and butter as per your taste.

To serve

  • Serve hot with scrambled eggs and grilled vegetables.

Notes

Do not over cook mushrooms and always cook on a large flat pan.
Instead of parsley, you can add chopped spring onion or cilantro
