Bread Aloo Dahi Chat

Bread Aloo Dahi Chat is a quick fix and easy dish for evening snacks. Toasted bread slices are layered with potatoes, salad, yogurt and chutneys.

Ingredients

  • 4 bread slices
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 to mato finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot grated
  • ¼ cup chopped coriander
  • 1 large potato boiled & cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup nylon chat sev
  • 2 tablespoon tamarind chutney
  • 2 tablespoons green chutney
  • 1 tablespoon chat masala powder

For sweet & spicy yogurt: (mix together in a bowl)

  • ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 cups whisked yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon chat masala powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Cut the sides of the bread slices and cut each slice into four pieces. Heat a pan and toast the slices on both sides. Remove on a serving dish.
  • Make a layer of boiled potatoes over the toast, followed by chat masala powder, half of the chopped onion, and half of the chopped tomato.
  • Pour a generous amount of whisked sweet and spicy yogurt over the layers.
  • Top it with tamarind chutney, green chutney, chopped onion, tomato, grated carrot, and sev.
  • Serve immediately.
