Green chutney is a street style spicy dip made with herbs and green chilies which is the most essential part of any Indian style chats.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups packed chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 cup packed chopped mint leaves
  • 2 green chilies chopped or as per your taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind pulp soaked in 1/4 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons roasted chana dal snack-type dal
  • ΒΌ teaspoon salt
  • Water for grinding as needed

Instructions

  • Grind all the ingredients to a smooth paste by adding few drops of water as needed.

Notes

You can store this chutney in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. If you wish to store this for more days, then you need to freeze it.
