Green Olive Hummus

A delicious and healthy dip made with cooked chickpeas, sesame, and loads of green olives. This hummus pairs perfectly with any barbeque dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 3 tablespoon tahini *sesame paste
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ¾ cup chopped green olives
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for garnishing
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • In a chopper add boiled chickpeas, tahini, garlic chopped, red chili powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, 3 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and grind to a smooth paste along with some water if needed. Then add chopped olives and grind again but in pulse motion for a few seconds.
  • Remove in a bowl and stir in chopped parsley. Garnish the hummus by pouring some more olive oil on top along with some chopped parsley and olives.
  • Serve chilled with toasted pita bread or chips.
