Grilled Paneer Sandwich

A Mumbai street food style grilled paneer sandwich with loads of vegetables and cheese, grilled to perfection and served hot.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 tbsp green mint chutney
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp chat masala powder
  • ½ cucumber sliced
  • 1 small firm tomato sliced
  • 1 capsicum sliced
  • 200 gms paneer sliced
  • 1 cheese slice
  • 1 tbsp butter for grilling

Instructions

  • Preheat the toaster or sandwich grill or a pan over the heat.
  • Take 2 slices of bread.
  • Apply mayonnaise on one slice and chutney on the other slice. Start by placing paneer, sprinkle chat masala powder, capsicum, tomato, cheese slice and finally cucumber slices.
  • Place the bread slice with mayonnaise on top and spread some butter over the sandwich on both sides.
  • Toast the sandwich until it gets a nice golden colour and crispy.

Notes

Sandwich should be grilled in such a way that the vegetables should not be cooked. It should be grilled on high, only for few seconds.
