Mango Mousse | Mango Dessert

Mango Mousse is a no-bake dessert with a combination of mango jelly, fresh mangoes, and whipped cream served in a shot glass.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup roughly chopped fresh ripe mango pieces or canned mangoes
  • ½ cup finely chopped mango pieces
  • 1 tin nestle cream tin or 1 cup thick cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 packet mango jelly
  • 2 packets Dream whip powder + 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup boiling hot water

Instructions

  • Dissolve mango jelly powder into the boiling water, stir till well dissolved, cool and set aside to set.
  • In a bowl blend together dream whip powder along with cold milk to form thick cream.
  • In a blender, blend together set jelly, roughly chopped mango pieces, nestle cream, and condensed milk.
  • Add this blended mixture to the whipped cream and slowly mix till well incorporated. Do not over mix.
  • Finally add finely chopped mango pieces and set the mixture in individual shot glasses or a big glass serving dish.
  • Garnish with mango slices and whipped cream.
  • Set it in the refrigerator for at least 4 to 5 hours before serving.

Notes

Note: In case if the dream whip powder is not available, then use ready-made whipping cream.
You can make your own homemade whipping cream by whisking 2 cups of full fat cream till it becomes thick and peaks are formed. Then slowly add 1 cup icing sugar a little at a time. Make sure that the cream should be chilled in the refrigerator for 1 hour before whisking.
