Ingredients

  • 2 potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1 capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 5 big size garlic cloves chopped
  • 3 green chilies chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp cashew nut powder
  • 3 tbsp grated Cheddar cheese
  • 3 tbsp roasted Chana Dal powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a saucepan and fry garlic, green chilies and onion till onion turns light brown. Add cabbage, carrot, capsicum and stir well on high heat for 3 min.
  • Then add lemon juice, amchur, garam masala powder, cumin powder,black pepper, black salt and salt . Cook for a min , set aside and let it cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine mashed potato, cooked veggies, cheese, cashew nut powder and chana dal powder and mix well.
  • Check the seasoning and adjust accordingly. Refrigerate for 30 min.
  • Take a spoonful of mixture on your palms and shape them into seekh and insert a wooden skewer through it.
  • Shallow fry the kabobs on medium-low heat on a non-stick pan till golden on all sides.
  • Serve hot with green chutney.
