One of the heroes for today’s recipe is ‘Pineapple’ who stands tall, wears a crown, and is sweet from inside, and this is what we can learn from a fruit. I had made this smoothie during my trip to Bangalore and I got this beautiful-looking fruit in the local farmers market.
There is nothing unusual about this recipe, but the presence of mint makes a lot of difference. It gives that soothing and refreshing taste. As we all know Pineapple is a tropical fruit with a sweet and sour taste.
I always find pineapple to be a versatile fruit, which fits well as a sweet dish or as a savory dish. It promotes a healthy complexion and hair, increased energy, and helps in weight loss. This smoothie can be an excellent source of strong anti-oxidant, as both pineapple and strawberries have a high content of Vitamin C.
Minty Strawberry & Pineapple Smoothie
- 1 small size ripe peeled pineapple
- 5 strawberries
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 4 mint leaves
- ⅛ teaspoon salt pinch
- Chop pineapple into small pieces and blend all the ingredients until smooth.
- Serve chilled along with ice cubes or crushed ice.
